Coins & Refunds

How coins work, when they expire, and how refunds work.

Last updated: October 3, 2026

What coins are

Coins are inker’s prepaid credit for generations. One coin is worth about €0.01. Coins are always whole numbers, have no cash value outside the Service, cannot be transferred to another account, and can only be refunded as described on this page.

Buying coins

Coins are sold in one-time packs priced in euros, VAT included; the checkout may also show the amount in your local currency. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. Some packs include bonus coins, which are shown before you buy. You receive a receipt and an invoice by email.

What a generation costs

Each model and setting has a price in coins. The studio shows the exact price before you start a generation, and that is exactly what is taken from your balance, never more.

A price shown in the studio is held for 10 minutes. If it changes after that, we ask you to confirm the new price before anything is charged. Coins are reserved when you start a generation and only taken when the results are delivered.

Failed and cancelled generations

  • If a generation fails, or is blocked by a safety filter, all of its coins are returned automatically.
  • If a request for several images only partly succeeds, you pay only for the images delivered.
  • You can cancel a generation for free until processing has started. After that it can no longer be cancelled.
  • If a delivered result is clearly broken because of a technical fault, contact us and we will review it.

Free coins and expiry

  • New accounts receive 15 free coins after confirming their email address. They expire after 30 days.
  • Promotional coins, for example from a promo code, expire at the end of their campaign, which is 90 days after they are granted unless stated otherwise.
  • Purchased coins never expire.
  • When you spend coins, the coins that expire soonest are used first, so free coins are used before purchased coins.

Your right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Coins are digital content that is delivered immediately: at checkout you ask us to deliver them straight away and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for the coins delivered.

Refunds of unused coins

In addition, within 14 days of a purchase you can ask for a refund of the coins from that purchase that you have not used. Write to billing@inker.si from the email address of your account.

We refund the share of the price that matches the share of that pack’s coins still unused, to the original payment method, and remove those coins from your balance.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer, the coins from that payment are removed from your balance and new purchases are paused while the dispute is open. Your balance can become negative, which pauses generation until it is positive again. If the dispute is closed in our favour, the coins are restored.

Account deletion

If you delete your account, any coins left in it are lost, so ask for a refund of eligible unused coins first. If we close your account, we will tell you what happens to your remaining coins, in line with consumer law.
