Best AI Video Generators in 2026: Kling 3.0 vs Veo 3.1 vs Seedance 2.0 vs Hailuo 2.3

We ran the same prompts through Kling 3.0 Turbo and Hailuo 2.3 and compared them with Veo 3.1 and Seedance 2.0. Here is which AI video generator to use for realism, audio, motion and price, with real clips.

Short answer: there is no single best AI video generator in 2026. Each leading model wins at something different:

  • Veo 3.1 for photorealism and native dialogue audio.
  • Kling 3.0 for cinematic camera moves and longer, consistent shots.
  • Seedance 2.0 for building a clip from your own reference images, video and audio.
  • Hailuo 2.3 for strong motion at the lowest price.

The smart move is to use all of them from one place and pick per shot. Below are real, unedited side-by-side clips from the same prompts.

Quick comparison: the best AI video generators of 2026

Model Made by Best for Native audio Coins per video on inker (default)
Veo 3.1 Fast Google DeepMind Realism, talking scenes Yes, incl. lip-synced dialogue 56
Kling 3.0 Turbo Kuaishou Fast cinematic shots Yes 120
Kling 3.0 Pro Kuaishou Longer multi-shot scenes, consistency Yes 209
Seedance 2.0 ByteDance Reference-driven clips (images, video, audio) Yes 259
Hailuo 2.3 MiniMax Dynamic motion on a budget No 52

Coin prices are inker's default settings at the time of writing. Length, resolution and audio change the price, and the studio shows the exact cost before you generate. 1 coin = €0.01 in the smallest pack, with no subscription.

Test 1: a close-up with liquid physics

We gave both models the exact same prompt:

A barista pours steamed milk into a cup of espresso, forming a latte-art heart. Slow push-in close-up from the side, shallow depth of field, warm morning light from a café window, gentle steam, cinematic slow motion feel, cozy ambient café sound.

Kling 3.0 Turbo (5 s, 1080p, native audio, unmute to hear the café ambience). The pour and the steel pitcher look real and the camera move is smooth, but the heart doesn't finish in 5 seconds. Ask for 8–10 s if you need the full pattern.

Hailuo 2.3 (6 s, 1080p, silent). A tighter macro framing, and the milk starts drawing a pattern on the surface within the clip, for less than half the coins.

Test 2: a sweeping drone landscape

Drone shot gliding low over a misty pine forest at sunrise, then rising to reveal a turquoise mountain lake with snowy peaks behind it. Smooth forward motion, golden light rays through the fog, epic and calm, nature documentary style.

Kling 3.0 Turbo: a textbook reveal. The camera rises over the trees exactly as directed, with believable fog, light and lake reflections.

Hailuo 2.3: beautiful fog and golden light, but the lake is visible from the first frame, so it skipped the "rising to reveal" direction. Kling followed the camera brief more closely. That's why many creators draft in Hailuo and do final shots in Kling.

Which AI video generator should you use?

Best for realism and dialogue: Veo 3.1

Google's Veo 3.1 generates synchronized sound effects, ambience and lip-synced dialogue in the same pass as the video. Use it for talking characters, ads with voice and anything that has to look filmed. On inker it comes in Lite, Fast and Quality tiers. Clips are short (up to about 8 seconds), so plan scenes as separate shots.

Best for cinematic shots: Kling 3.0

Kuaishou's Kling 3.0 family follows camera directions ("push-in", "rising reveal", "orbit") very closely and keeps characters consistent across longer clips, up to about 15 seconds. Turbo is the fast, cheaper option; Pro and Omni Pro add quality and control; Kling 3.0 4K is for 4K delivery.

Best for references: Seedance 2.0

ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 shines when you have material to build from: product photos, a character sheet, a reference clip or a soundtrack. It turns them into one consistent multi-shot clip. Need speed or a lower price? Try Seedance 2.0 Fast or the newer Seedance 2.5.

Best value: Hailuo 2.3

MiniMax's Hailuo 2.3 produces lively, physical motion (sports, dance, action) at about half the cost of most premium models. It's ideal for drafts, social clips and testing ideas before you spend more coins on a final take.

How to write a prompt for AI video

Video models respond to cinematography language. Use this order:

  1. Shot type and camera move: "slow push-in close-up", "drone shot rising", "handheld tracking shot".
  2. Subject and action: one clear action per clip ("pours milk", "rises to reveal a lake").
  3. Setting and light: "warm morning window light", "golden rays through fog".
  4. Mood and pace: "calm", "epic", "slow motion feel".
  5. Sound (for models with native audio): "cozy café ambience", "waves and wind".

Short on ideas? Start from a still: make an image with Nano Banana, then animate it with an image-to-video model. Kling 3.0 Turbo and Hailuo 2.3 both support it. Our photo-to-video guide walks you through it.

How much does AI video cost without a subscription?

On inker you buy a one-time coin pack (from €5 for 500 coins) and pay per clip. With default settings at the time of writing, that's roughly:

  • ~9 Hailuo 2.3 clips or ~8 Veo 3.1 Fast clips from the €5 pack,
  • ~4 Kling 3.0 Turbo clips from the €5 pack, or ~22 from the €25 pack.

Coins never expire, and if a generation fails, the coins come back automatically. See pricing for all packs.

FAQ

What is the best AI video generator in 2026?

It depends on the shot. Veo 3.1 leads for realism and lip-synced dialogue, Kling 3.0 for cinematic camera work and longer consistent clips, Seedance 2.0 for reference-driven generation, and Hailuo 2.3 for value. Using several from one studio gives you the best of each.

Which AI video generator has sound?

Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 generate native audio with the video. Hailuo 2.3 produces silent clips.

How long can AI-generated videos be?

Most models generate 5–10 second clips. Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 go up to about 15 seconds, and Veo 3.1 clips are up to about 8 seconds. For longer videos, generate several shots and edit them together.

Can I make AI videos without a subscription?

Yes. inker uses one-time coin packs instead of monthly plans, and new accounts get 15 free coins after confirming their email (valid for 30 days).

Are AI-generated videos watermarked?

Videos made on inker have no visible watermark. They carry invisible metadata that marks them as AI-generated. Disclose AI use when you publish realistic content.
